Campfire Conversations Complete Edition is a companion volume to the 2007 Deluxe Centennial Editon. This hardbound volume will contain 24 interviews not contained in the 2007 book.
Tim Lilley as interviewer and editor of these volumes, has devoted much of his adult life to bringing information and joy to the fans of John Wayne. These volumes were originally intended for the readers of The Big Trail: A Newsletter of the Films of John Wayne. This publication was put out by Tim bi-monthly from 1984 until 1999 when he changed to an annual publication titled The Trail Beyond that was published in December of each year with Volume 10 published in December 2008. Volume 10 was the last volume of this series but Tim couldn't just retire and leave us alone, so here is his next venture. This volume is the second book published in hard cover from Big Trail Publishing, the first being the before mentioned Deluxe Centennial Editon.
This book will contain many outstanding interviews of the coworkers of John Wayne. Supporting stars like Chris Mitchum, Ed Faulkner and Marie Windsor and stunt greats like Loren Janes, John "Bear" Hudkins and Henry Wills. A new 2009 conversation with stuntman/actor Jerry Gatlin will also be included. This hardbound editon of 200+pages, to be printed on glossy paper with great B&W and color photos, will be priced at approximately $35 plus shipping and handling. Tim is planning a midsummer, 2010 printing, and the number of books to be published will largely be determined by the number of advance orders/reservations.
