Earlier this year Warner Home Video with cooperation from Paramount released the John Wayne Epic Collection. This collection includes 40 John Wayne films on 38 discs, 20 page lay flat book, 17 artifacts of special John Wayne memorabilia with script pages/covers, correspondence, and many other special features. This release will be in the DVD format only. Check out this article on this Johw Wayne Epic Collection that spells out all the information for this release. This collection would be a massive John Wayne fix for that avid Duke for the holidays.

Miles Hood Swarthout, who penned the screenplay of his father's book The Shootist, has just released a book of his own. The title is The Last Shootist, it is the after-story about Gilliam Rogers and his adventures after acquiring J. B. Books pistols.

"Trumbo" the forthcoming biopic on blacklisted screenwriter Dalton Trumbo is currently shooting in New Orleans, LA. Among the cast is Bryan Cranston (Breaking Bad) as Dalton Trumbo, John Goodman as producer Frank King, Helen Mirren as Hedda Hopper, and David James Elliott (JAG) as John Wayne.
