Well, I know it has been a long time between newsletters but I hope to do better now that my life has simmered down a little. Personal problems have had my attention the last several months and the website has been secondary. I have some interesting tidbits this month, so, let't get started.

On Turner Classic Movies (TCM) channel this month John Wayne films are few in number, click the link to see which ones will be showing. This month I have added two director documentaries, Howard Hawks and George Stevens. Also showing is "Hondo and the Apaches" (1967). This film is a compilation of two episodes of the short-lived TV series HONDO (1967, 17 episodes), that was produced by John Wayne's production company BATJAC. The reason for showing this on TCM is that Robert Taylor is the Star of the Month and he appears as Gallagher in Hondo and the Apaches.

Campfire Conversations Complete is a companion volume to the 2007 Deluxe Centennial Editon. This hardbound volume will contain 24 interviews not contained in the 2007 book. This book will contain many outstanding interviews of the coworkers of John Wayne. Tim Lilley as interviewer and editor of these volumes, has devoted much of his adult life to bringing information and joy to the fans of John Wayne. Tim is planning a midsummer, 2010 printing, and the number of books to be published will largely be determined by the number of advance orders/reservations.
