I have found a couple of articles about John Wayne on the Internet that you should check out. The first is an article and video about theJohn Wayne Museum in Bowie, MD. Bill Atkins, a 78 year old realtor, converted part of his real estate office to this museum. This article was published online at The Washington Post, March 16, 2011. If you visit and can convince Bill you are real Duke fan, you might walk away with a Duke Dollar.
Also of interest is an article about The Wild Goose Ahoy, Pilgrim: Come Aboard the Wild Goose by Tiffany Carter from a site called the Newport Beach Patch published March 25, 2011. Click on the picture of The Wild Goose in the article for a lot of photos of the ship and its interiors.

On Turner Classic Movies (TCM) channel this month here are the John Wayne films that will be showing. I have also listed a non-John Wayne film on this list, Goodbye, My Lady (1956). The is a seldom seen gem produced by John Wayne's production company, Batjac.

I have started a blog about classic movies, Classic Cinema by Newt. This blog is a little different than other movie blogs in that I put up entries on the lesser known stars and films. Most of the blog entries have a connection to John Wayne. The latest entry veers away from this premise, it is an article about Elizabeth Taylor. I felt that with her passing, it deserved some notice. Besides the article on Liz Taylor I have posted entries on Gabby Hayes and Katy Jurado. These blog entries are separate for this newsletter, so please visit and give me your feedback.
As always, be assured that the email address you used to sign up for this mailing list will NEVER be sold or given to any other party, NOT EVER! Forward this newsletter to your friends that might be interested in the Duke or have them sign-up here.
Your comments or suggestions are always welcome and encouraged. I am always on the look-out for John Wayne and/or classic film information to pass along in these little newsletters, if you come across any news on these subjects, please let me know.
Later Pilgrim,
Paul Newton
