Hello Pilgrims, it has been awhile since the last newsletter. There have been family problems and health issues to wade through but I am back.

On Turner Classic Movies (TCM) channel this month on John Wayne's birthday (May 26) there will be six films in a row with a military theme starring John Wayne, which also goes with Memorial Day.

On January 22, 2013 Olive Films will release a newly re-mastered 60th Anniversary Special Edition of THE QUIET MAN in HD on Blu-Ray from a 4K SCAN of the ORIGINAL NITRATE NEGATIVE. It will also be released in a DVD version. Olive Films has acquired the Republic Pictures rights from Paramount Pictures. They have previously released and are releasing, on Blu-Ray and DVD other films. Here are the Olive releases from March to June 2013.

A new Duke book, John Wayne: The Legend and the Man: An Exclusive Look Inside Duke's Archives, released December 4, 2012. First-ever authorized book by John Wayne Enterprises, this book features Nver-Before-Seen John Wayne Archived Photo Collection. This 272-page book celebrates Duke's life and legacy through photography and stills from his cinematic masterpieces.
