I just wanted to update you on the happenings at Newt's John Wayne Site. CLICK HERE for a list of films starring John Wayne on TV during the month of June.

Recently three John Wayne films were released on DVD for the first time. On May 4th
Back to Bataan (1945) and Flying Leathernecks (1951) were released. On May 11th Three Faces West (1940) was released and The Spoilers (1942) was released on June 1st.

Anna Lee, whose nearly 70-year acting career in movies and television spanned from her breakthrough role in "How Green Was My Valley" to an extended run on "General Hospital," died Friday, May 14th, of pneumonia, she was 91. Lee had been ailing for the past several months and died at her home near Beverly Hills with son Jeffrey Byron, 48, by her side.
She appeared in five films with John Wayne, Seven Sinners (1940), Flying Tigers (1942), Fort Apache (1948), The Horse Soldiers (1959), and The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance (1962). On television she appeared in the soap General Hospital as Lila Quartermain from 1978 - 2003. To view Anna Lee's filmography, CLICK HERE.

Please visit the website and be sure to sign his guest book so he can know what you think of this project. Others in the cast are Sam Elliott, Kathrine Ross, Robert Carradine, Rance Howard, and James Arness. Filming will begin this summer in Monument Valley and Texas.
