I just wanted to update you on the happenings at Newt's John Wayne Site. CLICK HERE for a list of films starring John Wayne on TV showing this month.

• I hope everyone had a great celebration of the 100th birthday of John Wayne. If you have been to the home page recently you will see a photo of the Duke's birthday cake that we used to celebrate the event at work.
  

• The major celebration was at the John Wayne Birthplace in Winterset, Iowa. They had quite a lot of things going on over the course of a three day event, click the link to see all that happened there. If you would like to see some video of the events go over to Horse Trade Show.com, scroll down a little and click the links.
  

• John Wayne was honored at the Cannes Film Festival 2007 and Gretchen Wayne hosted the showing of the remastered HONDO in digital 3-D, check out this press release, which also includes international DVD release dates of other previously released DVDs in the US.
  

• As a reminder, the John Wayne Centennial DVD Contest is still going on. If you haven't entered yet you're running out of time. The contest ends Saturday, June 2 at Midnight Pacific Time.
