John Wayne�s Wild Goose Gets Historic Designation National Register of Historic Places. The honorary designation has been approved at the state level and passed the national review process July 19, meaning the boat is now officially listed. Check out the Aliso Viejo Patch site for some great photos of this ship.
Here are some recent events of note: Maureen O'Hara opened the Quiet Man Festival which ran from August 26 and 28 according to the Mayo News (Ireland). And back in the states The John Wayne Film Fest is going to be held Labor Day Weekend, September 2 - 5 in Snyder, Texas - to benefit the John Wayne Cancer Foundation.

And last but not least, this article is about The Stealing Angels, a new country singing group with Caroline Cutbirth, a decendant of Daniel Boone, Tayla Lynn, granddaughter of Loretta Lynn, and Jennifer Wayne, granddaughter of John Wayne.
The new store has many sections: In the DVDs section, there are John Wayne DVDS, some by directors that the Duke worked with most often, and Blu-Ray discs of John Wayne films plus a section of Blu-Ray discs not starring the Duke. Also there is a special features section that have documentary DVDs about John Wayne and his career.

America, Why I Love Her. Also there are CDs of film themes and scores and other western music, including one about singing cowboys.
In the books section, one page of John Wayne books and a page of books about other actors and actresses, plus books of interest about Hollywood.
There are other sections of interest such as posters and pictures of John Wayne and some of his female co-stars. There is section of John Wayne themed collectibles. The last section is Misc Goodies, items that didn't fit into the other categories. In this section are calendars, a John Wayne Monopoly game, a 1000 piece puzzle of the John Wayne 37 cent postage stamp, playing card set and even John Wayne magnets.
