I just wanted to update you on the happenings at Newt's John Wayne Site.

• The holiday season is fast approaching and it is time to search for that perfect gift for the John Wayne fan in your life. Check out the John Wayne Store for many gifts such as books, videos, DVDs, pictures, posters, and collectibles of John Wayne and his co-stars. A new section to the store is Western Film Books. This section is a selection of books dealing with the western film exclusively. Also check out Newt's Movie Store for all things movie.
  

• Existing copies of THE HIGH AND THE MIGHTY on VHS tape are still going for a high price on eBay. The latest one was $97.56, this auction had 17 bids with nearly 500 hits. This just goes to show that there is a lot of interest in this film. This was a Classic Home Video release and until the Wayne family pays to have this film remastered this remains the only decent version available to the public, and the quality is pretty good for a 50 year old unremastered or improved film.
