Howdy Pilgrims,

• In October on Turner Classic Movies (TCM). This month the John Wayne films are few but I have also added a seldom seen Batjac release not starring John Wayne.
  

• Now that the holidays are fast approaching I hope you will visit the John Wayne Store and check out all of the interesting items that we offer. Scroll down the main store page for many specials that are of interest to John Wayne fans and classic movie fans as well.
  

  The store has been updated and lots of new items have been added. Check out the DVDs On Demand page for items I produce that may be of interest to some of you, there are some new additions.
  

  The store has many movies, books, music CDs, posters, pictures. Check out the Misc. Goodies Page for those items that do not fit into the other store categories, i.e., 2017 Wall Calendar, puzzles, playing cards, T-shirts, shot glasses, etc.
  

  Recently released this summer on Blu-Ray disc and DVD was the western film Gun The Man Down. This film was made by John Wayne's production company, Batjac and released in 1956. The film starred James Arness and Angie Dickenson. Both of these stars would become big TV stars, James Arness with Gunsmoke and Angie Dickenson with Police Woman. This movie's screenplay is by Burt Kennedy, the director is Andrew Mclaglen and it was executive produced by Robert Morrison, John Wayne's brother.

  • From the Hollywood Reporter, Actor Hugh O'Brien passes away at age 91. He was known for TV series The Life and Legend of Wyatt Earp and he appeared in John Wayne's last film, The Shootist (1976).
