I just wanted to update you on the happenings at Newt's John Wayne Site. CLICK HERE for a list of films starring John Wayne on TV showing this month.

• For those of you that haven't viewed the results of last month's Hondo/McLintock! DVD Contest, go to the results page. In either December or January there will be another contest. This one isn't sponsored by Paramount and there won't be any trivia this time, just a straight drawing for several prizes. The details are not finalized yet so stay tuned!
  

• There are a couple of well written reviews from DVD Talk on the new releases of McLintock! and Hondo, check them out.
  

• The holiday season is upon us and it is time to get that favorite Duke fan of yours the ideal gift. Of course, the perfect place to shop is the John Wayne Store.
  

  Just a few ideas for you to consider:
  

  Any or all of the four Paramount/Batjac DVD releases, this link will take you to a page that lists all the special features of these releases plus links to review pages of the films.
  

  Still one of the best books on John Wayne is John Wayne: There Rode a Legend.
  

  The 2006 John Wayne calendar is now available. The other sections of the store include DVDs, VHS Videos(the availability is dwindling), Posters, and Pictures. Of course, the CD of America Why I Love Her is still available as well as other movie soundtracks and western music. And other items that may be of interest which are not Duke items are found in the store specials.
